Have a Beautiful Weekend

Farmers Market earlier today.

It’s absolutely lovely in Amsterdam this weekend, and I’m feeling confident we’ve turned the corner with spring! April and May are my favorite months in the Netherlands by far (although I’ve never really visited in the summer as my girlfriend and I were always in America then). Despite having a lot of work stress at the moment, the sunny weather is helping immensely.

Before running out to an Info Session for a local Yoga Teacher Training I’m thinking of choosing, here are a few weekend links.

With some granola, this smoothie is on rotation through lunch this week. As soon as it starts to get warm, all I crave are smoothies!

I’m super intrigued by Lush’s Shampoo Bars. Since I have to head there this weekend anyway to stock up on some face wash (this is a favorite), I’m thinking I might try one out!

I cannot the believe the news on Wow Airlines. We almost bought tickets to Iceland with them for June! In retrospect, so happy we did not as it’s looking like no one will be getting their money back…

I really love this “Living with Kids” series on Design Mom (and I’m far away from being a mom!). It’s just so interesting to get a peak into peoples homes.

What is going on in the world of veganism? I have some thoughts about this that I’m thinking of turning into a blog post. But let me preface it by saying I have absolutely nothing but love for people doing what they feel they need to for their health. I don’t like or participate in internet judgement.

I have this new album on repeat.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Have a Beautiful Weekend

Happy Saturday, everyone! We’re on day nine (10?) of continuous rain here in Amsterdam, but I’m not letting that cramp my weekend. I have farmers market, hot yoga, spring cleaning, baking, afternoon tea, and reading on my agenda. And I’m dreaming of the sun shining through my windows some time soon, like in the photo above…

Here are some weekend links for you:

The dough for these goodies is chilling in the refrigerator as I type. If they turn out well, expect a blog post!

I’m currently reading this book and love the raw authenticity. The focus is on how every body, and spine in particular, is too different for us to be striving for “perfect” form in yoga. It feels especially applicable to me given my injuries. I’ll do a more thorough write-up once I’ve read more!

My sister brought these when she visited from America, and I’m so glad she left them for me to finish! No shells, roasted, and the perfect amount of sea salt. My go-to snack this week.

I’ve been loving the mindbodygreen podcast for awhile. Episode #92 on brain health is a must listen.

I discovered a wonderful new vegan Youtube channel. Always feels like I hit the jackpot with a ton of new content and recipes to digest!

Thoroughly impressed by this. I’ve been testing for a few months after coming across startling research describing the prevalence of magnesium deficiency. It seems to be helping my sleep and anxiety. A win in my eyes!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
